| Riyad Al Solh Square: The Riyad Al Solh Square was previously named Al Sour (the wall) square, as it constituted the entrance to old Beirut. Since 1957, the area is hosting the bronze statue of the 1st president of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Riyad Al Solh. The whole area and the statue were completely restored by SOLIDERE in the 90s after the Lebanese civil war of 1975. The Grand Serail Stands in the background. |
